Have you been arrested for DUI or DWI in Las Vegas or the Southern Nevada area? To speak with an experienced criminal defense attorney at Ciciliano & Associates, please call 702.487.3530. We accept credit cards. Se habla español.

In addition to DUI defense, we provide aggressive defense against all alcohol and drug offenses relating to traffic stops, including drug possession, driving while under the influence of prescription drugs or sleeping pills, reckless driving, and/or evading a police officer, among others. We also represent clients in administrative hearings before the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). These hearings are of the utmost importance as they determine whether or not you keep your driving privileges.

Protect Your Rights: Speak with a Lawyer

If you have been arrested for drunk driving, please do not take these charges lightly. A conviction for DUI/DWI can result in increased car insurance rates, probation, significant fines, and even jail time.

People arrested for driving while intoxicated or driving under the influence often think that they have no defense. After all, the breathalyzer machine clearly shows that your alcohol level was above the legal limit. However, an experienced DUI defense attorney can ask the right questions to make sure your rights are protected:

  • Did the police officer have a right to stop your vehicle?
  • Did the police officer conduct the field sobriety test properly?
  • Did the officer properly administer the breathalyzer test?
  • Was the breathalyzer machine properly calibrated?

Before you plead guilty and acquire a permanent criminal record, let us examine the facts to determine if the police followed proper protocol and procedure. Even if we determine that the police did everything right and you wish to plead guilty, we can still seek a plea agreement that minimizes consequences or penalties.

Repeat Offenders

Repeat offenders face stiff penalties in Nevada, such as significant jail time or even a potential prison sentence. If you are convicted of a second DUI/DWI within a seven-year period, it is not unusual to serve between 10 days to six months in jail. A third conviction within seven years is a Class B felony and may result in a sentence of one to six years in prison and a fine between $2,000 and $5,000.

At Ciciliano & Associates, LLC, we strongly encourage anyone charged with a repeat alcohol-related offense to retain an attorney. Finding the right attorney can often mean the difference between a long jail sentence and house arrest.

When we represent people charged with a repeat alcohol-related offense, we strongly encourage them to take positive steps such as AA attendance, counseling, or even rehab. As experienced DUI/DWI attorneys, we can advise you of appropriate steps to take that will not only be looked upon favorably by prosecutors and judges, but which will also help you cope with any addiction issues you may have. Through an aggressive and proactive approach to your case, we can work together to try and avoid or minimize any potential criminal penalties.

If you have been arrested for a first, second, third, or subsequent DUI/DWI, or for driving under the influence of methamphetamines or other illegal substances, please contact Ciciliano & Associates, LLC.
